Interest And Linguistic Competence Are Two Important Factors For Students In Learning Arabic Language. However, In Today Reality There Are Many Students Still Have No Interest In The Learning Of Arabic Process. Arabic Language Books Are Also Far From The Attention Of The Students. Moreover, The Students Do Not Use Arabic In Their Daily Communication. The Purpose Of This Study Was To Find Out The Student's Interest In Arabic Language And Their Linguistic Competence, As Well As Correlation Between In Learning Arabic. This Study Used The Correlational Method. Data Collecting Instrument Used Questionnaire And Test Form Which Was Carried Out On 72 Students Of Sixth Semester As Samples. The Data Were Analyzed By Using Chi-Square Of Computerized System And Α= 0,005. The Result Of The Study Showed That The Arabic Language Students Have High Interest To Learn Arabic, Many Students Were Failed In Arabic Test And Their Linguistic Competence Was On The Basic Competence. There Was No Relation Between Interest And Linguistic Competence Of Students In Mastering Arabic Language (P-Value=0,076), There Was Relation Of The Student's Interest Of Writing Arabic With Their Writing Competence (P-Value=0,005). Also, Based On The Result, It Can Be Seen That There Was No Relation Between The Student's Interest Of Reading Arabic Language With Their Reading Competence (P-Value=0,280).
