Makna Simbolik Gerak Tari Rabbani Wahid

Rabbani Wahid is one of the dances developed in Aceh in 1989. This dance has a unique different from its poem and movement side compared to other dances. The prominent movement from this dance is Meugrob or jumping movement while stepping the dancer‟s foot and reciting the words Allah and La Ilaaha illa as the peak of falling the dancers into swoon on the floor. This research explores the relationship between the dance of Rabbani Wahid and Islamic Art in Aceh. It also analyzes the influences of Sufistic values of this dance, meaning and symbol as well as the influences of its social and cultural values. The symbolical meaning of the dance of Rabbani Wahid is horizontal movement symbolizing congregation “togetherness”, helping each other, etc. the movement of this dance also contains the symbol of peace (Salam) and Prayer (Shalat) and patriotic, cheerfulness, respecting each other, life meaning, awareness/ faithfulness, human life relation, majesty and Allah power and human lamentation to Allah
