Abstract
A Pb – Bi cooled ADS with uranium fuel has been designed to be operated for 20 years without refueling. This reactor can produce 10 MWth, 25 MWth, and 50 MWth power output. A two-dimensional multigroup diffusion equations analysis has been used to analyze the volume and mass distribution of the fuel and burn-up for different types of reactor cores including pancake, balance, and tall reactor cores.
