Abstract
“This study aims to analyze the introverted personality of the main character in the short story Ana al-Maut by Taufiq Al-Hakim. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using Carl G. Jung's literary psychology personality type theory approach. This study uses written data found in the short story Ana al-Maut by Taufiq Al-Hakim, which shows the suitability of the main character's personality type in Carl G. Jung's perspective. The data collection methods used in this study are reading and note-taking techniques, literature study techniques, close reading, and manual coding. The data in this study were analyzed using data analysis techniques by identifying, analyzing, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the main character has four types of introverted personalities according to Carl G. Jung in the short story Ana al-Maut by Taufiq Al-Hakim: introvert-thinking, introvert-feeling, introvert-sensing and introvert-intuition. The researcher hopes that this study can be used as input for other studies related to Carl G. Jung's theory of literary psychology.”
