Penerapan Media Letter Sharing Dalam Konseling Kelompok Untuk Mengatasi Hambatan Komunukasi Siswa Bermasalah Di SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh

Adolescence is a critical period where individuals are required to have good communication skills to establish social relationships. However, observations at SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh found that many students experience communication barriers characterized by passive attitudes, difficulty expressing opinions, shyness, and anxiety when interacting. This condition is caused by inhibiting factors including biological, psychological, semantic, mindset, and cultural aspects. Aiming to understand how well Letter In group counseling, students can overcome communication hurdles by sharing media. Utilizing a pre-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest format, this study employs quantitative research methodology. Nine individuals were chosen using a purposive sampling strategy according to the criteria of having communication problems. The total number of students in the population was sixty. A Likert scale questionnaire, together with observation and recording, was utilized to gather data. Among the methods used to analyze the data were the Gain Score computation, a Paired Sample t-test for hypothesis testing, and a normality test. From a heavy category of 128.44 on the pretest to a medium category of 82.78 on the posttest, there was a statistically significant decline in the average score. A significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained from the statistical test findings, indicating that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Letter Sharing media improves students' capacity to communicate and engage constructively while simultaneously decreasing their levels of anxiety, fear, and humiliation.
