Abstract

Impulsive buying is a common modern consumption phenomenon, particularly in women's fashion products. This behavior is characterized by spontaneous, unplanned purchases and is influenced by emotional and environmental factors. From an Islamic perspective, consumption should be balanced and avoid israf (excess) and tabdzir (waste). This study aims to analyze impulsive buying behavior among female consumers in Banda Aceh City and examine it from an Islamic consumption perspective. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation with seven informants. The results show that impulsive buying occurs one to five times per month, influenced by internal factors such as emotions and motivation, as well as external factors such as promotions, trends, and social media. Although consumers understand the principles of Islamic consumption, their practices still show excessive buying, creating a gap between understanding and behavior.
