Abstract

This research is based on the application of the inquiry model. Especially the inquiry model in the reaction rate material in MAN 1 Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of students and to determine the effect of the application of inquiry learning models on the material rate of reaction to student learning outcomes in MAN 1 Banda Aceh. This study used an experimental method with nonequivalent control group design that was carried out at MAN 1 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques for learning outcomes using pretest and posttest and questionnaire to see student responses. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that chemistry learning by applying guided inquiry learning models can improve student learning outcomes. The results of data analysis using the test statistic "t" obtained obtained that the value of t count is 0.047 with a significance level of 5% or 0.05 so that 0.048 <0.05, reject H0 accept Ha then there is a significant influence between the learning outcomes of the control class and experimental class . The results of the percentage of response of students who answered "yes" is 89.69% so that it is categorized very well on the guided inquiry learning model.
