Penerapan Metode Demonstrasi Berbasis Video Edukatif untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Taharah pada Siswa Kelas II SD Lamrabo Aceh Besar

This study aims to improve taharah ability, both in terms of theory and practice, among Grade II students of SD Lamrabo Aceh Besar through the application of a video-based educational demonstration method. This research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, combining qualitative and quantitative data, and was carried out in two cycles comprising the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were selected through total sampling, amounting to 12 students. Data were collected through observation, practical tests, written tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. Qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, while quantitative data were analyzed descriptively through the calculation of mean scores, learning-mastery percentages, and the N-Gain index. The results showed that teacher activity increased from 85.71% (good category) in Cycle I to 91.07% (very good category) in Cycle II, while student activity increased from 66.67% (fair category) to 87.85% (good category). Students' taharah practical ability obtained an average score of 87.92, with classical learning mastery reaching 100%. The average cognitive test score increased from 45.00 in the pretest to 86.67 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.76, which falls into the high category. These results indicate that the application of the video-based educational demonstration method is effective in improving taharah ability, both in the psychomotor aspect and the cognitive understanding of Grade II students at SD Lamrabo Aceh Besar.
