Abstract

This study aims to investigate non-English students’ perception and opinion whether the EDSA English club for youth improve speaking skills. One research question was formulated. As such, the purpose of this study was to investigate how non–English department students perceive EDSA English club for youth activities in improving speaking skills. The sample of this study using 35 students from different faculties chosen to be involved in this study. The sample choose by researcher special judgment in selecting the participants who has joined the English club. In collecting data, researcher used questionnaire to find out the student responses to get valid and reliable data about the English club. The questionnaire consisted of 14 closed-ended questions. Based on the research finding, the 35 students had positive responses of EDSA English club and also could improve students speaking skills.
