Abstract
This research investigates EFL student-teachers difficulties during teaching practicum. It aims at exploring the problems of EFL student-teachers during teaching practicum and at to find out some potential strategies that students could implement in solving those difficulties. This research employed a qualitative approach and the data was collected through the interview method. The participants are the students in English Department at UIN Ar-Raniry. The samples of this study are ten students-teachers of batch 2015 in east Aceh: selected from different schools. This research found that: there are difficulties of students-teachers during teaching practicum; negotiating level of the lesson, students lack of learning interest, insufficiency of instructional, difficulties in classroom management, and difficulties in developing lesson plan, and there are some strategies of student-teachers to solve the difficulties; create the fun classes, differentiated teaching methods, code-switching and repeating the explanation and being considerate. In short, strategies solved the difficulties of EFL student-teachers during the teaching practicum.
