Abstract

The objective of the study was to examine and evaluate the occurrence of pronoun errors in students' essay writing. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing document analysis as the data collection method. A total of ten result documents were purposefully chosen for participation, specifically representing students from the academic year 2019. The outcomes of the study indicated that a significant number of students committed pronoun errors in their essay writing. These errors encompassed inaccuracies in both singular and plural pronoun agreement, mistakes in pronoun antecedent agreement, and errors in the utilization of subject and object cases.
