Abstract
The aims of this study were to find out the use of realia and the teachers' strategies in using realia to develop students' vocabulary at Kiddos English School. This research was designed by using qualitative method. The data collection process gathered through the observation and interview. The sample of this research were 3 teachers at Kiddos English School who teach vocabulary by using realia as a medium. The result showed that the use of realia is an effective media to develop students' vocabulary at Kiddos English School. Students feel more enthusiastic during class hours because they can see and directly touch the object being studied, so that the class atmosphere becomes more active and lively. And there are five strategies that used by teachers in teaching vocabulary at Kiddos English School, those are: collect and select the objects that are interest students, learn while playing games, learn outside the classroom, field trip, and give rewards.
