Abstract

Based on the results of observations in class XI of SMAN 2 Kesuma Bangsa Muara Batu, problems were found that learning was still ineffective and students were also lacking in the willingness to think for themselves. Then the right learning model is needed to improve critical thinking skills. To overcome this, an effort is needed to implement a learning model that is in accordance with the conditions in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by applying the Problem Posing learning model Pre-Solution Type Posing to static fluid material in class XI of SMAN 2 Kesuma Bangsa, and to find out the responses of students to the application of the Pre-Solution Type Posing Learning Model Posing on static fluid material in class XI of Kesuma Bangsa High School 2. This research is a quantitative research using a pre-experimental method. While the design is One Pretest-Posttest Group, Data collection is done by objective tests in the form of essays. The tests used in this study are the pretest and the final test. Data analysis showed t-test and the results of tcount 28.03 abel ttable 1.73 for a significant level of 5% were obtained, so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the Problem Posing Learning Model Pre-Solution Posing type can improve students' critical thinking skills in static fluid material, and the use of the Problem Posing learning model Pre-Solution Posing Type gets a very good response from students, which is seen from the percentage the results of the questionnaire responses of students, who answered "yes" at 80.5%, while those who answered "no" were only 19.5%.
