Abstract

Based on the results of observation research in class 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar, many students are still not able to recognize the letters of the alphabet. The lack of teachers in the form of letters and letters to introduce to the students so that students there still have not been able to distinguish between the letters b and d and m and d. as for the formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) how to increase the ability of teachers in activities crafting with using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? (2) How the activity students in improving the ability of composing words using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? (3) how is the increased ability of composing words using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? As for the objective (1) to find out the activities of a teacher in increasing the ability of composing words using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? (2) to know the activity of students in improving the ability of composing words using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? (3) to find out the increased ability of composing words using media puzzle and learning model picture and picture grade 1 MIN 5 Aceh Besar? Therefore, it takes a model of learning that can increase the activity of the teachers and students as well as the results of student learning. The research is the research action class. The subject in this study was a class He MIN 5 Aceh Besar which numbered 27 students. Data collected through observation sheet activity of teachers and students as well as activity observation sheet sheet question tests. Technical data analysis using a percentage. Based on the activity of students in cycle I have 9 students who complete 33.33% whereas the cycle II there are 22 students who complete 81.48% so the cycle II has increased. Judging from the average cycle I and cycle II 53.89 80.75.
