Abstract
Arabic grammar is considered a fundamental pillar for understanding the language and the Quran, but the difficulty in mastering it is often due to traditional teaching methods and the complex interpretation of examples in classical books, which requires simplifying the rules to suit learners, such as functional grammar books. The book 'Tahrir al-Aqwal' was a well-known and widely used book. However, this book is difficult to understand because of its lengthy and complex style and lack of sufficient examples and exercises. This study aims to develop the book 'Tahrir al-Aqwal' based on electronic concept maps to facilitate understanding of the basic principles of grammar and improve students' learning experience. Previous studies have shown that most of them dealt with the use of concept maps in teaching the Arabic language in general, but few have researched developing grammar books as a new innovation, especially in utilizing electronic concept maps to facilitate understanding of basic grammar rules. This indicates a gap in previous studies that did not analyze in detail how to develop grammar books, especially the book 'Tahrir al-Aqwal.' In this study, the method used is research and development (R&D) with data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis includes validating experts and field experiments using a Likert scale. The results showed that the book based on electronic concept maps is valid for use, received positive responses from students, facilitated understanding of the material, increased motivation for learning, and made it easier to apply grammar rules. In conclusion, the developed book is effective and practical for teaching Arabic grammar.
