Abstract

The dominance method is one method that is often used in resolving conflicts in organizations. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the implementation of the dominance method with coercion (Forcing) in conflict resolution on HMPS-MPI, Analyze the implementation of the dominance method with persuasion (Smoothing) on HMPS-MPI, Analyze the implementation of the dominance method with avoidance (Avoindence) on HMPS-MPI, Analyze the implementation of the dominance method with the wishes of the majority (Majority Rule) on HMPS-MPI. The type of research used is qualitative, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of 4 informants, namely the chairman of HMPS-MPI, DPH HMPS-MPI, HMPS-MPI members. The application of the domination method with coercion (Forcing) is seen from the words used, changes in expression, member responses, interaction patterns. The application of dominance methods with persuasion (Smoothing) is seen from the words used, member responses, interaction patterns. Application of dominance methods with avoidance (Avoidence) seen from communication patterns, facial expressions, diversion strategies. The application of the domination method with (Majority Rule) voting is seen from the decision-making process, member responses, communication patterns. Implementation of domination methods in conflict resolution in the Student Association of the Islamic Education Management Study Program at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh by using the forcing method through the words used, changes in expression, member responses, interaction patterns. Smoothing method through the words used, member responses, interaction patterns. Avoidance method through communication patterns, facial expressions, diversion strategies. Voting or Majority Rule method through the decision-making process, member responses, communication patterns.
