Abstract
This study is about teachers’ creativities in teaching reading. This is a qualitative study. The researcher used semi-structured interview as the instrument to collect the data. The participants of this study are three teachers who are currently teaching at one of senior high school in Aceh Besar. It was carried out at MAN 3 Aceh Besar. This study was conducted to find out classroom activity implemented by the teachers in the teaching reading process and how the teachers encourage the students to learn. The result of this study shows that there are four activities implemented by the teacher in the teaching reading classroom such as jigsaw reading, peer-pairing, role play and reading aloud. Moreover, there are two strategies implemented by the teacher in order to encourage the students to learn such as teaching using multimedia and teaching reading using interactive text.
