This study aims to explore teachers’ difficulties in teaching English, environmental factors that influence teaching difficulties in teaching English, and teachers' strategies in overcoming English teaching difficulties at MAS Ashhabul Yamin Bakongan. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection methods using observation and interviews. The participants of this study were 3 English teachers from MAS Ashhabul Yamin Bakongan. The selection of participants was conducted using cencus sampling, a method where the entire population is included in this study because the number of participants is small and manageable. The results show five main difficulties faced by teachers, which are; lack of facilities, low vocabulary mastery, diversity of student abilities, low of students motivation, and mismatch between school and Dayah. In addition, the environmental factors that influence these difficulties consist of family factor, culture factors and learning habits, and the Dayah factor. To overcome these difficulties, teachers apply several strategies, including: developing lesson plans that are according to students' abilities, using various learning methods such as discussions, lectures, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), practice, exercises, groups, projects, and presentations, as well as providing feedback and rewards to increase students' motivation.
