Tourism is a travel activity undertaken by individuals or groups to enjoy their leisure time, supported by various facilities, which makes tourism an important contributor to the economy. One of the tourist attractions in Gampong Pasie Merapat, the Air Ujung Gantiang tourist destination, has the potential to foster economic development in the surrounding community. This study was motivated by the presence of the Air Ujung Gantiang tourist attraction, located in Gampong Pasie Merapat, Kluet Selatan District, South Aceh, and aims to assess the impact of this tourist destination on the economic development of the surrounding community. The research method employed in this study was a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, identifying 10 informants, including the Geuchik (village head) of Gampong Pasie Merapat, local youth, tourists, and the community around the Air Ujung Gantiang tourist destination. The results of this study indicate that the presence of the Air Ujung Gantiang tourist attraction has a positive impact on the surrounding community, including: 1) the creation of business opportunities for MSME actors, such as food and beverage businesses and ride rental services, and 2) the opening of employment opportunities, including positions in culinary businesses, ride rental services, parking attendants, and cleaning services. With these business opportunities and the creation of employment, the presence of the Air Ujung Gantiang tourist attraction clearly demonstrates its impact on the economic development of the surrounding community, which continues to grow with the increasing number of visitors to Air Ujung Gantiang in Gampong Pasie Merapat, Kluet Selatan District, Aceh Selatan Regency.
