Abstract

Media is very necessary in learning. Using media certainly makes it very easy for teachers to provide learning material. This research aims to find out whether the use of word wall media can increase vocabulary mastery in young learners. This research uses a pre-experimental design to investigate vocabulary improvement in young learners using word wall media. The researcher used quantitative methods, experiment with pre-test, treatment, and post-test to collect the data. The population in this study was class V students at SD Negeri 4 Tapaktuan, totaling 28 students, in one class. Based on the t-count value (12.48) > t table value (2.75). It can be concluded that word wall media is an effective learning skills medium applied in teaching and learning process.The results showed that there was an increase in vocabulary after implementation so we can say that word wall media, and all students good improvement after treatment. Word Wall media improved students vocabulary mastery for young learners.
