Abstract
Students' attitude is the mental disposition or posture that students adopt to describe a situation, person, or event. In a Micro Teaching class, students show a variety of different attitudes. Therefore, the researcher conducted this study to investigate students' attitude and deal with students' attitude in the Micro Teaching class. This study used qualitative research methods, using observation and interviews as instruments. By using purposive sampling, a lecturer and six students in the Micro Teaching class of the English Education Department at UIN Ar-Raniry in the 2024/2025 academic years were selected as research participants. The research that focused on preparation before performing, feeling anxiety when performing, feedback inspires enthusiasm, and satisfaction after performing. This study found that the cognitive component of attitude includes making lesson plans, learning from multiple learning sources, and feeling anxious in unexpected situations. The affective component of attitude includes engaging in self-directed practice, feeling anxious in unexpected situations and unmastered material, feedback increasing motivation, being very satisfied, and being less satisfied after performing. The behavior component of attitude includes making lesson plans, engaging in self-directed practice, being unmastered material, and feedback encouraging self-reflection. Meanwhile, dealing with students' attitude in the Micro Teaching class consists of encouraging preparation, providing effective feedback, promoting self-confidence in teaching, and encouraging teamwork for effective teaching.
