Analisis Kematangan Karir Berdasarkan Status Sosial Ekonomi Peserta Didik Di MAN 3 Banda Aceh

Career maturity refers to an individual’s readiness to make appropriate career decisions in accordance with their developmental stage. This study aims to describe the level of career maturity and analyze differences the level of career maturity based on parental socioeconomic status among twelfth-grade students at MAN 3 Banda Aceh. A quantitative approach with a causal-comparative (ex post facto) design was employed. Data were collected from all twelfth-grade students using saturated sampling (sampling jenuh) through career maturity and socioeconomic status questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and Factorial ANOVA. Results show that the majority of students demonstrated high career maturity. Paternal education, maternal education, and family income each had a significant effect on career maturity, with paternal education emerging as the most dominant factor. These findings highlight the important role of family socioeconomic background in shaping students’ career readiness and underscore the need for school counselors to provide more intensive and equitable career guidance, particularly for students from families with low socioeconomic status.
