Penggunaan Chatgpt Sebagai Media Pendukung Pembelajaran Dalam Kalangan Mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah Dan Keguruan UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh: Studi Deskriptif Kuantitatif

This study aims to describe the use of ChatGPT as a supporting medium for learning among students of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FTK), UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach. The population consisted of active FTK students in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a sample of 379 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that the overall use of ChatGPT as a supporting medium for learning was categorized as high, with an average score of 3.79. The indicator of ChatGPT usage obtained an average score of 3.92, categorized as high, while the effectiveness of its use also obtained an average score of 3.92, categorized as high. Meanwhile, the constraints of ChatGPT use obtained an average score of 3.54, categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that ChatGPT has become a supporting medium in students’ academic and learning activities, although its use still involves several limitations. Therefore, ChatGPT should be utilized critically, selectively, and responsibly to support learning without replacing students’ independent thinking and the role of educators.
