Abstract
This study investigates EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers' perceptions regarding the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools in their teaching practices following the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing a
qualitative research methodology, data were collected through interviews and observation with a purposive sample of several EFL teachers from SMAN 7 Banda Aceh, SMKN 1 Almubarkeya, and MAN 1 Banda Aceh. The findings reveal a predominantly positive perception among the teachers towards integrating ICT tools into their teaching. Teachers acknowledged the benefits of ICT in improving efficiency in teaching learning process, increasing language learning's interest and effectiveness, enhancing student motivation and experience in the classroom, and fit the needs of language learning activity in the classroom. However, some concerns were also expressed regarding technological challenges, limited ICT Facilities and poor accessory, low quality devices, controlling student behavior on using ICT tools outside class hours, determining appropriate tools and content for teaching students. Overall, the study underscores the importance of supporting EFL teachers in effectively utilizing ICT tools to adapt to the evolving educational landscape post-pandemic.
