Based on the first observations carried out by researchers at the Darurr Rasyid Aceh Singkil Islamic Boarding Scool, Researchers found in observations that some students were less able to memorize and understand. This is what causes teachers not to use learning media in teaching, making students feel bored in learning Arabic. The I am of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using smart board media to improve students' abilities in mastering mufradat and to determine students responses when using smart board media in mastering mufradat. In this research, researchers use an experimental method with the "One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design" model. The instrument used by researchers is a questionnaire. Pre-test and post-test as data collection methods. The results of this research are: (1) The use of smart board media is effective in increasing students' ability to master mufradat. Because the researchers obtained the results of the paired sample test showing that the results of the significance level were Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 which is smaller than the significance level (Sig) of 0.05. This shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. (2) the students' response to the use of smart board media in mastering mufradat was positive, where researchers obtained 66% positive responses and 34% negative responses
