The Use Of Picture Dictionary To Improve Students’ Vocabulary Mastery In Learning English

This research aimed to examine whether the implementation of picture dictionaries improves students' vocabulary mastery at Private Gemilang Banda Aceh and to analyze the extent of this improvement. The study employed a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pre-test and post-test model. The sample consisted of 20 young learners attending Private Gemilang Banda Aceh, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through vocabulary achievement tests (pre-test and post-test) comprising 30 multiple-choice items and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics via a paired sample t-test. The findings revealed a substantial enhancement in students' vocabulary achievement following the visual media intervention.
